Operation Cow Drop
Saturday, May 3rd
The Arc of Hanover has been selected as this year’s nonprofit honoree for Operation Cow Drop! This designation and the huge event accompanying it stems from the students, staff and community members of Grace Christian School in Mechanicsville.
We invite you to attend this event with your family, and we'd love for you to volunteer at our table, too! It's at the Hanover County Airport, Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Admission and parking for this event is FREE, with tickets available for purchase for games and activities for the whole family! Come see what happens when 1,500 Chick-fil-A cows fill the sky!

Shady Grove Picnic
Saturday, May 10th
Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with all the fixin's supplied and prepared by our friends at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Mechanicsville. The picnic will be held on the grounds of the church, (at 8209 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111), from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. Family members welcome!

Cavalier Fishing Day
and Picnic
Sunday, May 18th
Whether you like a relaxing day fishing, or the fun and community around a picnic table, this is the event for you!
Sunday, May 18th, from 2 to 6 PM, join in with members of the Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club in Montpelier for a day of fishing on their pond and an afternoon picnic. Club members provide all gear, bait and coaching. The picnic is a grill-out (and if you would like to volunteer to do the grilling, we would love to have your help).

Please join us and our friends at Verena at the Glen for a '50's Dance on Friday, June 13th, from 6 to 8 PM, at Verena. The senior living community is located at 10286 Brook Road in Glen Allen -- between The Arc of Hanover Thrift Store and Publix on the west side of Route 1. All are welcome, and light refreshments will be served.
We only require an RSVP to help with planning for refreshments.

Juneteenth Festival

The Arc of Hanover will join the Hanover County NAACP at its annual Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 21st, from Noon to 5 PM in Downtown Ashland. We invite you and your family to attend and to consider volunteering at our table with us. Food trucks, community vendors, dance groups, music, family atmosphere!

Friday, August 1st
Glitter balls, flashing lights and songs that never end. Join in on all the fun of a '70's Disco Dance with our friends at Verena at the Glen. The dance will be Friday, August 1st, from 6 to 8 PM, at Verena. Join The Arc of Hanover for a Halloween Party at the Montpelier Recreation Center and Library on Thursday, October 30th, from 6 to 8 PM. Costumes are not required, and if you do wear one, we would ask that they not be too scary, either. Come ready to have fun!
